The FHG has over 100 years of experience in wooden packaging. FHG has been by far Europe's largest full-service supplier of wooden packaging for a number of years. The group consists of nine production companies, two rental companies and two service companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

History
In Assen, Frederik Faber started a cooper's business (barrel-making). He specialised in the production of butter barrels, which were bought by dairy factories in the vicinity.
